Jan Oystein Aksnes and May-Britt Aksnes encouraged her to learn music, not for a job or a hobby and as a way to develop. To achieve this, she began writing original compositions. Her sources include noted writers Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan and her love for Bjork's style. In response to her mother's suggestions that people ought not to aim at achieving fame through her songwriting, but instead be aware of the significance of them and the impact they have on society. When she was six She began playing the piano, and when she was nine was writing music. The family did not have any idea about it until she was fourteen. Aurora wasn't a childhood dream. According to her, she just enjoys writing songs. The songs she creates are how she feels about anything.
