Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina Shevchenko is the Kyrgyzstani Muay-Thai fighter from Peru and a mixed martial arts artist who is a part of the UFC within the Flyweight Division. She's currently competing. She is the sister of fellow UFC fighter and the former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko began her combat sports journey in the form of an Muay Thai Kickboxer. She first made an appearance at the IFMA World Championship Tournament 2003 Shevchenko took the title in the finals and beat Suzane Miller in the finals by a one-sided decision. Antonina was able to follow it up, and won a silver medal in 2007, a bronze in 2008 and a gold award in 2011, and was the 2016. IFMA Amateur Muay Thai World Champion. Antonia's professional debut was in 2003. In 2012 she won an event called the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship, in 2016, it was the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship and in 2016, she was the winner of the WMC as well as the Phoenix FC World Championships. Antonina's last fight was against Isa Tsidblad Keskikangas, who was a participant at Phoenix Fighting Championship. The winner was a the unanimous verdict. Antonina Shevchenko made the professional MMA record at the KFK cup in Kyrgystan against Anara Bayanova. She took the win via second-round TKO and won her next 2 fights in the WXF: X-Impact World Championships 2003. Her record was of 3-1. Shevchenko took a break from MMA to focus on kickboxing. She made her comeback against Anissa Haddaoui during Phoenix FC 3 in 2017. Shevchenko won against Anissa through a unanimous decision before she fought Valerie Domergue in Phoenix FC 4. In 2018, she resigned from the league and started competing in Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera in Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11, Antonina knocked out Nievera using her striking skills that are superior to Nievera in the clinch by the body with knees. Antonina's UFC contract was extended following this victory. Antonina was able to make her UFC debut at the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale with Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko beat Roxanne Modafferi in a split-decision fight, after winning her first bout by unanimous decision. Antonina was able to bounce back from the loss through defeating Lucie Pudilova at UFC on ESPN Covington against Lawler by a rear-naked choke submission. It earned her the prize of fight-of-the-night. Shevchenko lost to Katlyn Cookagian, and beat Ariane Lipski's three bouts. Antonina lost her last fight to Casey O'Neill via TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos-Walker.
