Ree Drummond (born Ree Ann Duncan) is a famous American writer, blogger, television personality who writes about food and photography. Best known for The Pioneer Woman blog, she is an author in the United States as well as a blogger. She lives at a ranch near Oklahoma. Her blog posts reflect her daily family life as a husband and mother of the Ranch. Pioneer Woman received the Weblog of the Year Awards in the years 2009, 2010 and 2011 and 2010 at the Annual Weblog Awards. Her college studies included gerontology and journalism. In 2006 she started her online blog pioneerwoman.typepad.com and later changed the name to Confessions of a Pioneer Woman and finally to The Pioneer Woman. Confessions remains one of numerous popular areas on her site. A number of important publications have praised the blog's popularity and have praised her style of writing along with her inventive ideas as well as excellent photography. Food photos are posted on her blogs. Her television show, The Pioneer Woman, which is today on The Food Network today was first launched in 2011.
